Forums & Workshops
Forums, Workshops and Discussions will be held on a variety of ecological issues including: garbage, waste reduction and recycling, water resources, language for transition to a liveable planet, sustainable agriculture and Slow Food, war and the environment, toxic dumping in the Mediterranean, eco-tourism, education for a sustainable future, renewable energy/NO NUKES, transportation, etc.
Music
The week will offer high quality musical performances of an international and Mediterranean flair ranging from ethno-jazz to indie with a variety of styles in between.
Beautiful concert venues will host these musical events.

Theatre & Dance
Theatre and dance performances will be held throughout the week as well.
We have already confirmed the actor Ulderico Pesce for four shows. He is critically acclaimed in Italy for his performances on Social and Ecological themes. More acts can be seen here.
Video
Each evening there will be screenings of video and films with a Social/Ecology theme.

Slow Food
Excursions
Our Fiscal Sponsor, Transumanza [www.transumanza.org], with the cooperation of a variety of expert hikers and nature explorers will be leading hikes throughout the week combining the natural wonders of the mountains, the Parco Pollino (Italy’s largest national park) and the historic and cultural wonders of this region.
The remains of Paleolithic cave dwellers have been found in this region and there are many archaeological sites dating back to Magna Grecia as well.
During the week there will also be excursions from the sea to the mountains with donkeys, care of Movimento Zoè.

On 20 June there will be an eco-sustainable market at Longobardi in the historic centre (10:00-18:00). On 24 June there will be another eco-sustainable market held by La Ragnatela at Arcipelago Sagarote above Diamante. Ragnatela is Italian for "spider web" and this organization is a network of citizens dedicated to transitioning to a local economy based on ecological sustainability.

Artisan craftsmanship on display
A fascinating experience awaits as you will be able to learn how to make cheese in the Calabrian countryside. Maria, a biologist and shepherdess at Fattoria Sant'Anna, will conduct one of these programs.
